  • Panoramic Roof Issues

Every now and again my panoramic roof decides it does not want to close. It happened a few months back, but within five minutes I pulled the button, and it did, but it settled in a mid closed position first. However yesterday on the way to work I opened it for some fresh air, a few minutes later I decide I want it shut, and nothing. I left it, got to work, then turned the car off and remove the key to reset, tried again, and all I could hear was some clicking in the roof lining by the switch, most probably from the motor. I then rang the dealer up here on the Sunshine Coast, because I was worried about whether we would get some rain, but they could not promise to look at it that day. I decided to make a call later in the day, to the dealer in Brisbane I had used previously, because they have let me on a number of occasions drive in a short notice, because I only really wanted the thing closed. However before I rang, I wandered outside again, which would have been three hours later, to try it one more time, and it decided to work again!! This time it also settled in a half closed position, before finally shutting completely when I operated the switch.

Has anyone had anything similar happen?

Hi Colesy, I believe there is a manual mode to close the roof if you get stuck.

In the car manual states to remove a cover near the roof light and should be screw with Allen key fitment to close.

No issues from my end touch wood, then again only owned for a week.
