Couldn't find any reviews for the new Nitto NT830 so I thought I would share.

I was so happy with my last set of Nitto Invo's I had decided to try the new NT830. I am an area manager and clock up a lot of K's on the highway, the invo's had fantastic dry grip and got roughly 38,000 klm's out of them but we're a tad noisy. ( On the phone a lot for business ).

After clocking 3000k on the NT830 I am absolutely happy with the same if not better dry grip, a mile in front for wet grip and certainly noticeable volume decrease.

All in all very happy running 245/35/19 and wouldn't go back.

      Tyres

My factory tyres need to be replaced soon and just wanted to see what tyres everyone is using now and how their experience has been so far with their new tyres.
Would prefer a tyre that is quieter or at least the same (not noisier) as the RE50A.
So far have read that the Goodyear A2-F1s and the PS3s seem pretty good. Keen to hear the latest feedback on these tyres and any other recommendations.

      Thanks!

it depends on what your priorities are. longevity? price? dry grip? wet grip?

for 235 35 19 you have something from $100 (nankang) each to $600 each (pilot sport cup 2).

i find jaxquickfit website very useful, they display all prices online.

or you can pick from any of the top 10 per tyrereview.co.uk web and you wont go wrong for daily street use.

i and a number of friends are using potenza re003 and cant fault these tyres. but road noise is not the quietest.

bridgestone has 4 for 3 deal right now.

The Goodyear F1A2 are fantastic for performance and I got 53k out a pair on the front
They are however louder than the RE050 - takes a week or two to accept it

The PS3's are a great all round tyre - wet and dry and last well
          Noticeably less noise than F1A2

Tyre reviews, tests and ratings - TyreReviews is the best place if you do not want to ask Mr Google..
My feeling was Michelin Pilot Super Sports were the bang for the buck for both dry and wet grip... PS3 not sure in the wet..
With any tyre you go with try to find a deal somewhere for current tyres.. i.e. someone mentioned that they might give deals on old stock.. Rubber does age..

I was researching online for some tyres because I was so fed up with the hopeless grip of the bridgestones in the wet...
No idea why VW give these as stock tyres.. Everyone told me to wait till these wear out to replace.. Down to 50%.. still waiting..

            Hope this helps..

Thanks for the info guys - I ended up going for the re003s as they were doing a buy 3 get one 1 free promo which brings the price down to $270 a tyre (from Bob Jane Tmart in Perth).

I bought a set of Khumo PS91's for $320 each. Bit more expensive than what I would have liked but with a viezu tune, and my wife using it as a daily driver, we wanted a bit more traction, especially in the wet.

Been very happy with them over the last 6 months, low wear and low noise.

FYI Bought a set of Michelin PSS stock size for $350 each.. The difference from the stock Bridgestones is epic!
i.e. I forget I'm in DCC sports now.. I couldn't tolerate it for daily driving earlier.. Grip is tremendous.. Both dry and wet..

I changed to Goodyear F1 A2 on my Scirocco. Immediately felt like a softer tyre grip is good wet grip probably a little better than std Bridgstone, and heaps fewer magnets in them (lol the bridgstones were picking up far too many nails). Wear is pretty good after 25k only rotated once, that's with mainly regular highway driving. Would i buy the same again? Probably not.... but thats just coz i like to pick a budget i.e 330-360 and chose a tyre i want to try.
