  • Ipod in scirocco?

    Hey guys,

    not sure if this has been covered already but i just got my scirocco yesterday and i tried to attach my ipod to it, it didn't work so just wanted to know how i can get around it?

    If it's an iPod ( and not iPhone/iPod touch) you'll need the MDI iPod cable, and if it's got the newer smaller connector you'll need the adapter.

    iPhone you can connect via MDI or Bluetooth.

        there is a 3.5mm connector on the centre armrest that you can connect to

            If you want to control it via the radio (and therefore, steering wheel controls), you need the MDI and the specific iPod->MDI cable that VW sell. You cannot use a USB->MDI cable with an iPod->USB connector or adapter.

              Don't know if you've sorted this issue out but if you're still looking and MDI iPod cable I ended up ordering this one off eBay. $18.50 instead of VWs $73 and works a treat with my iPod Classic.
