As per your findings, 3 out of 8 people read the manual of their car - a low percentage
But when you have a problem with the car - the manual should be your first port of call
From memory it will say something like the car can use up to 0.5L per 1,000km
Your oil light came on after 9,000km - that's spectacular for a FSI/TSI engine
Many of us get a low oil warning light every ~3,000km, and it's still well within the factory specifications in the manual
You're having problems with the car and maybe the agent
Google VW customer care and call them to get assistance and escalate the matter
