Those videos are totally irrelevant - they are due to the differences in driver capability

    Scirocco R: 0 to 100kmph in 6 seconds
    188kw & 1351kg = 1kw for every 7kg

    BMW M3: 0 to 100kmph in 4 seconds
    309kw & 1580kg = 1kw for every 5kg

Anybody who things a Roc can keep up with a well driven M3 is delunsional

Then any kind of circuit testing between vehicles are irrelevant? so only straight line comparos by the same driver numerous times can be considered an accurate test?

Afaik those drivers are pretty similarly matched. Either way it does demonstrate that a Roc does corner comparably to the AWD competition.

I agree that an M3 is a much faster car, be it in a straight line or through corners. I did say that the Roc was tuned though and according to the poster it was light tune. So he could be misleading the hell out of everyone but then again I don't think so.

I agree with Dizzy that with what OP said the car isn't optimal, but I did not agree with him on the car's cornering prowess and am giving at least some evidence where it is compared to other rwd and awd cars.

This car isn't designed for drags anyway unless with some serious conversions, otherwise pretty handy for circuits, cornering, with some suspension/chassis mods would make it a better performance car and enjoyable to drive imo.

YouTube videos of random public driving around circuits are not useful at all - they are nothing more than a bit of fun
The skill and commitment of random (even average) public on a track varies greatly

Sure Martin, you didn't look at the video link did you? Those blokes are not amateurs. They are all race drivers who on a monthly basis compares new vehicles against well known performance standard models.
And again sure, some race drivers are better than others but I have followed their videos for a while and they are very similar in speed.
Anyway as stated previously, it isn't designed for drags... But making it wider and lighter than the R does say something as to what their design intentions where.

I fully expect the M3 driver to be of low driving skill and commitment

LOL. I like how the roc pulled away from Evo SST on the straight, and the driver sortof went "OMFG this thing is fast on the straight!"
