Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Righto so before you say it, I've read all the posts on various sites and every available video on the matter to no avail.

i can't get my LC to work. so what i do is, get the car to running temp (90 degrees when i tried it just then), come to a complete stop, put the car in S, hold the ESC button down till it chimes, and plant the throttle.

only problem is when i start giving throttle it creeps forward. i put half throttle but it didn't wanna stay put. am i missing something here?

    i have a MY13 scirocco. thanks!

Make sure your foot on the brake is completely planted - ie all the way to the floor - before depressing the throttle.

I noticed the first time I tried LC in my R that it did the same thing - turned out I only had my foot lightly on the brake. The technique I have used since is:

    1. Come to a complete stop.

    2. Put foot to floor on brake pedal.

    3. Turn off ESP.

    4. Transmission into S.

    5. Floor throttle, revs jump to launch point.

    6. Release brake quickly.
