Hatch Pop Kit -> will this work?

Wondering if anyone has gone down the path of a auto opening hatch?

Im going to put i on my wife's Mk 6 GTI, and thinking maybe it would be good on the R too?

Perhaps they are too long etc, and will blow the door off?

thoughts?

I ordered these a few months go. Very easy to fit takes around 15 minutes. The only issue the boot opens a little lower than before. Being over 6 foot I have banged my head a few times.

I bought these from ECS Tuning, fitted them and promptly removed them. The added effort needed to overcome the resistance of the struts to close the hatch was too much for my wife. Must admit, I found it a bit tough aswell.
