Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Very easy to install mate. Open the boot and use a flat piece of plastic to unclip the small carpet squares on each side of the boot.
Unscrew the white plastic butterfly bolts inside the hole where you removed the square panel and gently pull the light out remembering to unclip the electricals which all go into a plug at the back of the light just after you pull it out a little way.

If the lights are LEDs, chances are they're drawing a lot less current, and your car thinks your bulbs are out. When LEDs are fitted to the Golf, changes need to be made to the coding of the Central Electrics module - I'd assume the same is required for the Scirocco.

Failing that, you'd probably need to purchase some adapters, or else get an auto-electrician to make you some adapters, that draw additional current from the system to equal the consumption of the regular bulbs.

As long as the lights are actually working as intended then its a coding issue. U need Vagcom to code the ECU for LED tail lights
