  • Extended warranty for Scirocco

    Hi guys,

I know this might be a little early but have any of you got quotes on extended warranty for the scirocco? I'm sure down the line, this will be quite useful for people who are looking to purchase them

As far as i know, there are no (or little) difference between the VW extended warranty and the Allianz extended warranty.

What are the quotes you've got and who did you get it from?

    Thanks!

Check out the epic Extended Warranty thread in the Mk5 section - it applies to all VWs:

2008 MkV Volkswagen Golf R32 DSG
2005 MkV Volkswagen Golf 2.0 FSI Auto
    Sold: 2015 8V Audi S3 Sedan Manual
Sold: 2010 MkVI Volkswagen Golf GTI DSG

AdamD, seems like different models get different quotes. It makes sense because an extended warranty for a Touareg couldn't possibly be priced the same as a polo right?

So far, the best i've got for Scirocco R on an Allianz 3 year 75km extended warranty is slightly below $3,000. Anyone else has any other quotes?

Different cars get different quotes. They take the car, spec, mileage (and anticipated mileage), age, location etc into consideration before they quote you.

I got a year extended warranty from Audi for my last car, it was $1800 (Audi Australia paid for it). I would've hated to see what 3 years was worth :facepalm

I usually only keep a car for 3 years anyway.. if I was going to consider extended warranty, it would only be if something went majorly wrong during the initial period.

Not likely to need an extended warranty like Bec I only usually have a car for three years.

While I'm loving my R there will always be something tasty to try in three years time - a mk vi roc R perhaps as a starting point!
