Scirocco R / Golf R wheel offset

Bonjourrr! I'm picking up my RB Scirocco R on Tuesday, and I have asked to get the wheels swapped with the 19" black talladegas I saw on the showroom Golf R when I went in on Saturday. Now, I remember reading that the offsets are different for both of these, and I was wondering if this is something I should be concerned about. Does this affect the wheel look/ride quality/speedo accuracy? If anyone could clear this up for me, it would be most appreciated.

Offsets are completely different. Scirocco R is 41 and Golf R is 51.

Which means that the Golf R wheels will not fit on the Scirocco R, unless you have spacers... which are illegal.

The only way around this, is to ask your dealer to get yours painted. Since I am guessing you won't want to wait any longer, you're better off picking it up with silver tallies, then getting them painted

Spot on She_dub, that is exactly what I was going to do and the dealer confirmed that they could not do it cause od the offset. So they are spraying mine before I pick it up.

I kinda accidentally* drove past the dealer today and saw it in the window on the showroom floor. It was after-hours so I could only press my face up against the glass and take pics. Security breach! XD Picking it up sometime tomorrow arvo and going for a long drive haha.

haha indeed! Instead of going on lunch today, I went for a 60min cruise instead. XD Was pouring rain, though...
