The official I have ordered/received my new Scirocco thread
At least half on them were white plus a few green.
Didn't realise I was quite so close. Back again in July probably. Was trying to coincide a trip with GTI International but both these trips are falling either side. Missed the Duxford airshow too by a week. Not too happy about that either.
Scirocco: Indium Grey, DSG, pana roof, Sat/Nav, Dynaudio, VWR springs and APR stage 1. Now sold
Arriving April 17 Audi S3 sedan, Panther black, S-tronic, PP2, pano, matrix lights, assistance pack, 40:20:40 seats, mirror pack, light inlays
If you're waiting for the delivery of your Scirocco it might pay to have a look for any dents
Posted by a mate on his Facebook page who is a ships pilot in Melbourne with the caption " Really sorry about the dents in your new Porsche sir, but the pilot said it was really rough out there!" The pics were taken exiting the Rip at Port Phillip Heads.
Got mine today... Idium gray dsg. I'm in love..... 2 quick questions, is it okay to drive the thing in sports mode all the time? And should I not drive it hard until the engine is run in ? How long will that take...

Drive it like you stole it from day one, the engines are run in at the engine factory to well in excess of any RPM you will likely ever take it.
Just traded my 2006 9N polo gti for a new manual black Scirrocco R.
I have to say that I am enjoying my new car a lot. Loving the engine - I have to admit that I was surprised at how much quicker it felt than my polo (which on paper should keep up at least in terms of power to weight). It seems to be one well sorted FWD car - when I started looking to upgrade I was looking at a Golf R but was swayed by the idea of having something different (there are lots of golfs on the road). I was running a fairly modded polo for a while so I am no stranger to VWWC forum (part of my reason for keeping in the VW family). Looking forward to lots of new adventures with my new ride.
This is my first new car - so I will be trying to resist the urge to mod at least for a while - I have to admit that a retune and big exhaust is very tempting.
