Thanks for the heads up man.
Is there a VW parts site we can order online from like bmminiparts.com for BMW parts
Now I have seen it I want it ....want it bad
Peter
We think we only need two, or maybe three parts to complete a change to the covered storage and cup holder.
Covered cup holder is easy. Part 1KO862 531A colour satin black code UBN. Cost $125
The covered storage is a bit more difficult to work out but we think part 5KO 857 961 9B9 covers al the parts listed above. What we can't is what finish the lid is. It is $186.50. The standard lid on this part is silver which will match the silver dash inserts. The option would be to remove the silver cover and replace it with part no 1KO 857 A 1X3 if you want the piano black version. On this lat point i'm going to see what looks like in silver first.

I like the idea of the silver hatch lid and the satin black cup holder lid
Sounds like a plan
Should be able to get the parts cheaper in the UK as they all seem to quote around 27 quid. Even with shipping it will be alot cheaper than 125 and 187Originally posted by Mac135 View PostSo a visited the dealer this morning.

GENUINE VW GOLF MK6 2011 FRONT ASHTRAY LIGHTER EXC CON | eBay
No storage at all
I thought you could get just a tray in that area with the lid on it as increased storage

Parts 10,11 & 12 though do away with the 12v connection (i think) whereas part 9 retains the 12v but puts a lid on the storage area. actually i think it is part 7 that is just the storage.

At least i'm not encouraging you to spend big $$. Now if i were to suggest the KW DCC set up as i was reading about last night then that would be another thingScirocco: Indium Grey, DSG, pana roof, Sat/Nav, Dynaudio, VWR springs and APR stage 1. Now sold
