That $100 would include remove and replace the tyres as well as a Balance... so all in all not too bad a price...
I would want to see this done in the flesh first before I made up my mind.
Depends on the colour choice as well... something similar to Black chrome would be good.

But unless you take just the rim to a panel beater, they won't be able to do it in most cases.

does Tempe tyres provide loan wheels?
I have been there before and highly recommended their serivce.

Yeah they provide the loan wheels. But you'll to book the 'job' in for the loan wheels.

Cool they're just down the road where I work, might just go there... How much can they stuff-up a small paint job??

Just gave them a call and they said they don't have any loan wheels for Scirocco
And they quoted $125 each

All they need to fit it is 5x112 PCD with a +42 offset (give or take a few mm)

ok... I called about 2 weeks ago and the quote was $400 for all wheels (incl. loan wheels), but I didn't mention Scirocco just I have 19s that needed painting. He also advised me to book it in advance a week or 2 in advance....

ummm not really. width and tyre size (width and profile) needs/should be taken into account. sure you can get away with a lot of different combinations. can think of a number of merc wheels for a start that would not fit

Generally any rim that is 19 inch is going to have a 35/30/25 profile on it. If it has anything bigger than its most likely for a 4wd. In regards to width, our cars can fit up to 265 under the guards without issue and I doubt TempeTyres are giving away 265 wide tyres as interims while his rims get painted.

Heck, you could put a set of 17 inch rims on their without issue! You just need to make sure the PCD is spot on and the offset is within reason.

Found the rims I'll be getting. 19x8 WedsSport lightweight sa55ms..



I'll use my tyres that come with scirocco for now and then change them out to 245 or 255's later. Now to wait for the reply email on shipping costs.

Being so indecisive I looked at the black option as well and have photoshopped some rims, lowering (25mm) and tint just to get a feel for them.



Think ill stick with 19's as I do like to drive hard through the hills and would hate to grind a rim!

Don't know if you have checked them out, but the 19' Porsche wheels are sexy! so are the Audi R8 Rims Replicas ofc
