It can be removed however you will have two holes in the bumper you need to plug off. Alternatively get a Lakin plate.

I am about to remove the plate holder too. Had enough with it! Was just deciding between a new vinyl wrap that would cover the hole or get the plugs.

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll save $400 and get the custom plate over the euro custom.

The Lakin plate bracket is still a bit big for the normal custom ones (to cover up the holes I've realised).

This is with the 2 moderate holes need to fill, ignore the middle 4 little screw holes, you should only have 2. Strongly recommend to take it down the first day perhaps before dealer fitting the plate for you. This is how this car should really look like!
