Looks like it won't have independent rear suspention as it is based on the simpler USA jetta. Maybe that's why they do not mention suspention in the press release. No adaptive dampers probably either.Multivan MY12 TSI350 Red. Previous: 2008 Tiguan 103Tdi. 2010 Tiguan 125TSi.Comment

ended up looking better than i thought it would. still, older new beetle shape is better
inside is looking a lot more in line with the rest of the vw range. i like the gauge setup with the 3 pods on top of the dash and the lap timer is a great idea.
will there be an awd one i wonder?Comment

Does anyone have any idea when these are arriving in Australia, and what models we are getting?
I see there are some great customisation options on the US VW website including a whole heap of custom stickers and graphics, but the Aussie site still shows the previous generation with no hint that there are new models on the way.Comment

My guess is these three engines 118TSI, 147TSI & 103TDI in Design and Sport trims with customisation packages.- Ben

Jodie and I drove one today!
Pretty cool styling, good base model options.
I'm not a fan of the 1.4 TSI though. It would take me a little while to become accustomed to it.
