Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Went and had a look today with the parents, now i just gotta convince them that finance is ok!!! They dont like the idea of being in debt and just quickly anyone know how much they would be looking at paying per month for an Eos worth about $63k? Thanks if you do know, Mac

I am so glad I got an MY08, really don't like the front end on the new one, I mean there is nothing wrong with it, it is just so boring! I think the rear lights could grow on me but again they are nothing very distinctive.

Inside looks almost the same except the climate control panel is very different.

Looks alright, but I think it's a shame all the different VW models are losing their individuality, and starting to look the same (front/rear) across the whole model range.

firstly how much would need to be loaned and how long would it be over eg; 3,4,5, 7 years all play a part over 4 years on 33k loan I am paying 730 MONTHLY

It would be roughly 43,000 (63,000 car with a trade-in of about 20,000) and probably over 5 years

Went for a test drive today in a 155TSI, our local dealer just so happens to have a car with the exact specs my parents want which arrived in the country last week so now its just whether my parents want the car and if we can afford it , just for reference the car wanted is a 155TSI in Indium Grey with black leather, Sat-nav and metallic paint the only options, heres hoping the join the VAG family too
