My Eos TDI manual gearbox failed

Hi all,
Last Friday, my TDI 6 speed manual gearbox failed? Has anyone had any problems with the manual gearbox? Luckily, l purchased the extended warranty? Car is ony 3 years and 3 months old. Waiting for VW to get back....

VW Australia will replace the gearbox with a new one, rather than fixing it. Was told the syncho on 3rd gear broken (explains why 3 & 4 gears would not engage).
