A corrado isnt going to be a daily driver. Its going to be something that someone with too much money will buy because they want one!
Granted its a niche market. But there is a market for the right car.

With the cost of living going up there is less and less of a market for a weekend warrior/show car.

The better bet would be to bring over an E30 M3 or an E34 M5 that is known and has an enthusiast market already established rather than hoping someone

A bit hard to justify these days with the cost an R32 being around the same, the R32's got the 24V and AWD, A/C...

Still, there will be someone who'll want one if you brought one over with you, eventually. Mine did take a while to sell and was a pretty good one, with only 2 previous owners, me being the second owner. A VR6 would definitely sell quicker.

Might be worth considering bringing an original Mk2, 3dr, 16V. I think that would sell quicker, Golfs are more popular here.

            Porsche 911 2DR 996 TURBO HUGE SPEC 3.6 | eBay

Bring that over and i'd buy it off you for 50k

            or with a lower budget..

2003 03 reg BMW M3 Convertible SMG II RED Leather + SAT NAV + AC Shnitzer Extras | eBay

that and you'd get 35k pretty easily off someone in aus.. even with the kms.

I also work for a shipping company meaning freighting these over would be a piece of pie

While I'd love another Corrado in the country if you're looking to move it fairly quickly I'd bring a MK4 R32. Even as an import, you'd shift one that was mint for $18,000

bring over a mk1 caddy wouldn't make much if anything, but I know I and surely others would kill for one...

                      Just an update,
We've decided to import my wife's Mini Countryman and my Corrado,
I've put too much into it over the last 6months not to benefit from it,
                      So far mods are
                      24valve VR6 engine from a MK4 v6 4motion
Golf v5 close ratio box with TDI 5th gear
                      Stainless steel exhaust,
                      Subtle lowering 35/40mm
                      288mm front brakes
                      future work before Australia
Climatronic Air con install (from MK4 golf)
                      Respray
                      Leather covered dash (I wish)
                      cheers
                      Steve

Sounds like it would be an awesome car to own over here! I was going to buy my dads Mini cooper S from him over there, Register it in my name then import it. But didn't read into it much regarding owning a car over there while living over here, I guess someone would of figured out at customs so didn't bother. Its was a low mileage 2003 mini Cooper S that he traded in for 3000pound ($5200)
Not Import to sell but have as a car for the mrs.
