Corrado spotted !!

Senn this on another forum, Corrado spotted on mona vale road in Sydney, close to where i'll be moving to so will keep an eye out for it !! Unregistered as you can see..............

Well i just met the guy who owns this Corrado ............

I was leaving off work earlier, on my way home i walk past a VW workshop run by a chap called Mark or Mike Hammond, popped in to have chat and ask if hes ever seen one in Australia, turns out he reckons he had the only one in NSW (apart from the LHD that was for sale in Parramatta).
His, (the red one in the pic) is a LHD VR6 that hes converting to RHD. Nice bloke, he pulled out loads of photos of old golfs that he's had in the past, then pulls a sheet off something in his workshop, a G60 engine that he ran in one of his Mk 2's !!!

I was checking on the RTA myPlates web site, and "CORADO" is already taken... probably means there's another one out there...

Mark is a great bloke to talk to and I have learnt a lot from him. We started out in the early days when engines on had carbs and one cam and progressed up through the days of blowers 16v"s and turbos.
