Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

BMW 435 Coupe - Definitive Opti-Coat Sydney Premium Paint Protection Treatment

BMW 435 Coupe in Metallic Black.

Car had significant hard water marks on the rear trunk lid.

When it comes to water marks, the first is to establish whether it is "hard" or "soft" water marks.

Soft water marks can be removed by chemicals such as CarPro Spotless. Hard water marks on the other hand can only be removed by abrasion, such as Clay Bars, Polish or Compound.

4 series seems to have hard paint, paint correction was done by Zentool, Lake Country Purple Wool, Optimum Hyper Compound. Followed by Rupes Green Pad, Optimum Hyper Polish.
