Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Mercedes CLA45 AMG - Definitive Opti Coat by Spray Gun Paint Protection

    Mercedes CLA45 AMG in Red.


    All of the interior leather & plastics were covered with car wash cafe silicone dressing, making them shiny & slippery to the touch. These areas were cleaned using a Steam Cleaner with Optimum APC, took more than 3 hours of careful cleaning as not to remove any color.


    Chrome exhaust have probably never been detailed previously, its not often I have to take out the 0000 steel wool.


    Alcantara on the steering wheel have also been covered by silicone dressing, plus grease and whatnot from the driver's hands. The fibres were flat & felt disgusting. Alcantara was detailed using an alcantara specific cleaner & brush from the Furniture Clinic UK.
