Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Pirelli Cinturato P1 tyres

I'm looking to replace my current set of Dunlop SP Sports on my 5-door DSG GTI. It's a family car and I don't track or do long distances. My usage is around 13,000kms/year.
I have a limited budget having spent a lot on the house etc and these Pirellis look attractive for their price and good reviews.
    What do you think?

I have them on my daily driver and fined them to be a very good tyre. No traction issues in the wet.

I found these on TyreSales.com.au but an enquiry with Bob Jane T-mart has advised me that this tyre has been replaced by the Dragon Sport. Has anyone heard of this or have recommendations for the Dragons?

Dragon Sport are developed and designed for the Asian market. They are not a replacement for any other model.
