i have a set of vmr 710 that i want to make glossy and my question is do i need to sand the matte finish to make the clear coat stick?
i have painted one of the rims and after cleaning it thoroughly before painting, but i didn't use wax and grease remover cause i thought this would damage the matte finish i found that the clear top coat comes off really easily like it hasn't adhered to the matte as it chipped when i accidentally it hit with a wheel bolt.
any tips or suggestions?
