    Jeez - my girlfriend's dad would be so jealous - his Q7 chews through $2000 a set 295/35/21 Pirelli's every 20,000kms!

Can't believe anyone could drive 110k on a set of tyres! I couldn't do it - I'd assume the rubber had transformed into some fossilized offspring! I reckon 30k is good mileage for a tyre with a healthy, 'safe' compound. I used to throw moto tyres away if I hadn't been using them regularly - you could feel the hardness seeping into the compund.

Just been asking on the Diesel forum about recommendations for new tyres for the Octy Scout 225/50/17. Brad, maybe you're the man to ask, having been in the biz! You mention Michelin PS3s - good all-round performer? I want quality tyres I can trust when I want to travel briskly, but don't want $350 per corner gumballs.
