    Hey Guys,

    new wheels have arrived -

So, they are 8.5" wide 19's looking to see what your tyre suggestions are.

    Thinking a 235/35 Nitto NT05 or Nitto INVO's or some Toyo R888

As I only drive the car on weekends tyre wear really isnt an issue - I just want performance and looks to match.

I dont mind a little stretch but do not want to much, has anyone got any of the above tyres on the same size wheel? have looked around for some pictures but not an easy one to find!

Toyo R888's: Reasonable price for an R Spec tyre for track use. Be careful in the wet. Noisy and a hard ride for the street.

The Nitto's are not what I would call performance tyres
A set of Goodyear Asymmetric F1 would provide great absolute performance and are well priced
The Toyo R888 (being semi slick) work well simply due to the amount of rubber in contact with the road
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

dont expect any stretch at all with a 235/35 on a 8.5
every second mk5 on here using 19s run that size so id be check around the mk5 section for some hints
        Bora gone
        Vento VR6
        MKIV GSW TDI
        7P Touareg TDI

Yeah, like the R888 it would have a more than average amount of rubber in contact with the road

            I have a pair of NT01 semi slicks - they've been a bit disappointing
They are very sensitive to heat and pressure
Even when you get them happy they are just avaerage (for a semi slick - but better than using road tyres on the track)
