  • Scirocco Suspension

Hey Guys, (made and oops where i posted this, sorry!)

So I know there are a few threads around on suspension however looking for some feedback.

Have been toying with the idea of lowering the scirocco, was originally ordering KW DDC coilovers however have, for the time being decided to spend that money elsewhere.

So am looking at spring replacements for the moment.

The Eibach springs have a height of 365mm front and 369mm rear from centre of wheel to middle of guard. Which, after measuring will actually raise my rocco 4-5mm *sad face*

Who has lowered their rocco with just springs? what did you get? how much lower did you achieve?

    Thanks heaps!

myself and Greggo have used H&R 35mm springs, and they're a lot lower than Eibach and VWR springs can offer IMO (I think they only drop it by 20-25mm). I'm aware that some boys in the UK (non R but) are using H&R 50mm superlows and that's madness to the point where the tyres dip into the guards.

Beware though, that the rear suspension can be very crashy/stiff/bone shattering when hitting bumps or potholes. So hump slowly! Good luck.

        there you go.

I bought the springs from Orange-tuning.de, you gotta e-mail this guy called Frank to customize the order to ship to Aus.

Cheers. I think it's KW DDC, and I don't know what the +R is about lol. I'm not the best person to answer the question on coilovers.

Do you guys see any change in wheel traction? Basically does lowering help any bit with keeping traction down when pushing it in 1st gear?
