    Hi guys..

just need some info in regards to assembling my Autostrada Modena wheels back together..

originally the wheels came in this order - Barrel - Lip - Face..
would changing the order around to - Barrel - Face - Lip, cause any trouble or damage/harm to the structure of the wheel??
i've been told by doing what i want it would damage the lips..

its my first attempt at refurbishing wheels, so any info would be great..

    thanks

I think with the modenas iv seen it would be ok to do.
as long as the lip can still transfer the force through the centre without putting any force on the bolts vertically it should be ok...

just noticed who it is! Welcome

          Hey Dylan..
          thank you...

i've seen a few done the way i'd like them so i thought it would be fine..
then i have the guy who is refurbing the lips saying that it wont work.. that i'll be putting too much pressure on the lips..

might drop them by you when i get them back hahah

            Yeah no worries.
We mounted someone else's the same for a look and it seemed ok.
Lip itself won't have any extra force on it compared to before

Yeah if the centres have that little lip protruding out for a lip to sit flush on top of it, I can't see why you can't do a sandwich mount.
              Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
              Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Yeah the faces do have the lip on then so the actual lip can sit flush on top of it. The inly problem is that the faces have a space where the bolts go so the sit flush inside the centres. .
Not sure if im explaining well enough
