Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • BBS RM 012 fitment issue/question

    Hi and greetings from Slovenia.

Those are my wheels after restoration (centered, candy color, new 1,0” lips, re-chromed bolts and hand polished, new center sets – o-ring, hex and emblems, custom 3D emblems over old emblems, sutom stickers, dice valves,…).

I was googling for Honda Fit/Jazz on BBS with 185/45R15 tires. I found picture and then post of dylan8 - http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...5-a-81530.html. MOST HAPPY!
Those BBS RM wheels were meant for my ex black Civic EG6 but in the process of restoration of the wheels I sold Civic and bought Honda Jazz – second baby boy so… When I made dry fitment on Jazz I said this will be close.
Original BBS RM 012 are 6,5x15 (0,5” lips) ET33 but now when I have 1,0” lips ET is (my guess) around 22. I was planning to buy Nankang 185/45R15 tires and I already have D2 coilovers.

As I see in post of dylan8 my wheels should fit (+ tires + coilovers) or I can just forget about it and say “Well spent money for restoration! NOT!!!”

TNX for any kind of help!

basically if you add 1" of lip (25.4mm) you half that and add it to the offset.
if its a increase in barrel size its the opposite. (deduct half whatever was added from the offset)

so your 15x6.5et33(0.5" lips) becomes 15x7et21-22(1"lip) as you said before.
As to honda fitment I have no idea. the Jazz is a mates car and iv never really paid much attention to what does/doesnt work on it lol
