I'd consider those If I was looking for wheels, paint the centers black or clolour coded to the car and you've got a fantastic set of rims. Black rims look best with a bit of silver and chrome. Those wouldn't be a bit hard to do? Just out of interest Wabit, why are you selling the wheels?
The reason that the wheels are more expensive is because they are of a better construction and finish than the cheaper cast wheels. Personally I think the three piece wheels look better too.
I've got no problem on spending money on a good set of wheels even though my golf is not worth much. I can always take them off if I decide to sell the car one day.
Afterall why do any of us modify and tune our cars??? It's a hobby, its fun and I wouldn't have it any other way I don't think anyone does this to turn a profit
However whilst I love the 3pcs I think I'll probably go with a good looking cast wheel in the end, unless I can find a nice second hand set. Purely due to my budget.
Well... those wheels are expensive for a reason, they're made rather inefficiently at high labour costs. That doesn't necessarily mean that by having certain wheels, it will be any different to having cheaper wheels. Just get whatever looks best on your car, who gives a crap where they come from, its not like any one else besides you and one other person will ever recognise the value of having expensive or exclusive wheels. Pointless exercise in my opinion on inexpensive cars...
Yeah I understand, but when you've gone through what I have. Trying to maintain and bring a car back to scratch on pocket money and loose change whilst studying at uni, you get over spending money on a car to a certain point.
I love my car, but only as a vehicle and a mode of transport. I've understood the value of it and what it can offer, but I'm never going to be a slave to it either ever again.
But yeah, if you can get some money back go ahead. But I'm really, really over it. I'm making a great income but none of it at all is going back into the car, not a cent. But if you love it... do it. And I'd love to see the results.
Yeah actually I quite like these ones 1i 16x7.....
I noticed the ET is 40. Since that's a higher possitive number than factory, that means the wheel will sit into the wheel arch more right??? Do you reckon it will sit in too far? Are wheel spacers themselves illegal to use or is it just the stud patten converting spacers that are illegal?
all spacers are illegal... but not really dangerous like the converter spacers
im pretty sure there will be no problem in touching anything but
if you get 5 or 8mm spacers all round it will be fine
the mounting face will sit in further if theyre the same width. But theyre wider than your stock rims
Say the rim is an extra 1 inch wider. Thats 25.4mm. If you halve that. Thats how much futher out the rim will poke on each side of the mounting face. Then you adjust for the difference in offset.
Hmmm for the ibizas i prefer flat multi spoked. Something similar to the CSA's would look good imo, it may be just ur bad photoshop but those ones look a bit funny lol.
