Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Need help with wheel details for my mk5 jetta

hey i own a 2011 mk5 jetta and i wanted to put on some 17 inch fat bbs rims on it but have no idea what my wheel offset and stud pattern is ? ( i was told it was 5 x 112 i think ) or any suggestions on what rims would suit my car ?

Mk5 Jetta will be 5x112 and the Offset will be stamped on the inside of your wheel e.g. ET51
A combination of offset, wheel width, bolt pattern and centrebore are required to get a correct fitting wheel.

Yes it would be on the stock wheels.
That way you can use a wheel size calculator to work out what size you can upgrade to while still keeping it legal.

          This^^

5x112 and 57.1 for the centre bore wont be stamped on the wheels.
but the width and the offset of your current set up will be. as said above, use that to work out what you want
