Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Apparently Inline in Queanbeyan is the place to go, pricey but the best so I hear.

Not relevant to your thread but how do you like the APR Stage 1?. Thinking of getting my GTI done.

          Hello Jay Gee,

I am really happy with the APR Stage 1. The GTi doesn't have that little lag at just over 1000rpm and gives a much smoother ride. The car was fun to drive stock but even more so now!

Thanks Pullstarter / Brad, Inline looks like the place to go!

                Hi,

Don't know if you have noticed APR have an easter sale on atm. 15% off the Stage 1 tune

Thanks again to those that have replied. I went to Inline Steering & Suspension today for my Wheel Alignment. Had to book a week ahead. Once I was on the ramp, Michael (?) said my alignment did not need adjusting and therefore will not charge me and "see you next time"! I was stunned at such honesty and could only reply "Thanks and you will!". I felt bad though, as Michael had to reverse about 5 cars out of his workshop so he could get my car up the ramp!

                    Appreciate the update!!!

I took an old GTi180 in there a few years ago for 'lift off oversteer' issues (driver error). Chris, the owner was a true gentleman, did not charge me for his time so I left, and returned not long after with a bottle of wine!
