  • D2 coil overs - thoughts & opinions?

Ive been looking at various options for a cost effective suspension upgrade for my Golf VI GTI, and one of the options that have come up is D2.

I've heard conflicting reports, does anyone have experience with these?

Hmmm Maybe if it was a MK3 golf, dude your driving a $50,000 car and you want to put cheap jap coilovers on it. Do some springs, or if you want coilovers, KV V3's, Bilstiens or nothing

My question was if anyone knows or has experience with D2's not assuming whether I can afford to buy something more expensive or not, but I thank you for your concern... :p

We've removed them from a Toyota Celica and fitted standard suspension with lowered springs before.. Customer wasn't happy with them (bought the car with them fitted).

I only know one other person running them in a Mk3 VR6 and they say they're not too bad...

All I can say is that the cost of aftermarket components will give you a fair idea of the quality. Everything is made to a price. You spend more, you get more.
