  • KW coilover replacement - Can I buy just one?

Whereever I've looked KW coilovers seem to come as a set.
Does anybody know where I can buy just one or can you buy just the dampner?

    Thanks in advance!

For what car? And what type of KW? I have a front pair of used HPA KW SHS in perfectly good order that fit a mkv r32 or gti. You can have them for $100 + shipping.

From a safety view point shocks/dampers should always be fitted in pairs. I believe KW's can be rebuilt like Konis.
2001 Bora 4 Motion Sport now used by number two son
2011 Skoda Octavia Scout now with Underground Performance tune
2010 Jetta 125 tdi dsg for the misses - Impressed
2006 Polo GTI - Enhanced by some of Gav's magic - Absolutely loving it

I also thought that they could be rebuilt (which is what I'm trying to do) but we're can I source individual parts?

I could really use some assistance on this.
I need to replace the front right KW (V2) coilover.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can buy just the front right coilover.

Is for a mk4 as per my sig.

          Thank you!

            Hi there Speed,

For sure it is possible to replace a strut for the KW, just need the part numbers and serial numbers listed on the strut for an exact match. Dealers are on the site EVL Motorsports, distributors of KW performance suspension and Akrapovic exhaust systems.

            Cheers

            Erik

                Thank you Erik,
I've already emailed preeny the details, which he may have already forwarded to you.
Turns out that the body is fine but the rod is bent.

Am just waiting for price for a replacement rod/dampner.

Details as per the sticker are as follows:
                KW 100 1005
                Art. Nr.: 17710122
                Auftr. Nr.: ATP919

Is for the front right on a mk4 golf gti

I don't wish to disrespect preeny and his awesome efforts, so am happy to wait for a price.
Would be good to know if you have one in stock and how long it would take to be delivered to Sydney.

                Thank you,
                S

No worries, i will do some background work. Preeny knows what and how and when and the wheres of the KW, so he'll let you know mate. I do the behind the scenes with KW and just these details are essential to match the build as the designs develop and improve over time. I take it the spring/ helper and seat are good?

                        All good Preeny,
I confirm that I received 2 emails from you this morning (dated yesterday) and replied back to you this morning.
I don't know what is happening with my work email and why there is such a delay with it. I do apologise.

In my reply email, I provided my full name and the address that I want the strut delivered to.

Will wait for your invoice to be emailed to me, or just phone me to take credit card details and send me the invoice later.

Thanks again for all your help on this and sorry my commumication has been confusing.

                        Best regards,
