Hey guys,
About to pull the trigger on some brake upgrades for my gti. I'm just going for rotors and pads for now, Im not tracking this car but I do like a spirited drive in the hills occasionally and the stock ones are just not up to it:
Fronts- I figure keeping the weight down on the driven wheels is the most important so Im going for a 2 piece oem replacement open slot rotor from Racingbrake.com and Hawk HPS pads from BWA Auto
Rears - Adams single slot rotors (to match the sinlge slot on the front) and hawk hps pads all from BWA auto.
I know its more expensive rather than just going for adams rotors all round but the weight saving on the front has an exponentional impact on drivability.
The whole thing will cost around $1,500 which is not bad for a decent brake upgrade. Any thoughts?
