What wheels are these?

Hi, as the title says, does anyone know what wheels these are, and are they VW or some aftermarkets.

They are advertised as detroits, but after a bit of googling, they don't look like detroits.

Thanks for that. I think your right. They do look like thunders. They are fitted to a mk6 gti that I am looking at purchasing, but I'm not so sure about them. What are they worth? Would I be able to sell them and get a set of detriots/denvers for the same sort of money? Sorry, but I'm a bit new to the vw scene.

Well, I spoke to dealer that was selling the car, and expressed how much I didn't like them, and suggested they replace them with the stock Denver alloys and they have agreed I can now finalise the deal and pick up my new toy.

Never seen those before but i am learning towards the side of you getting screwed by the dealer for them since they would be unique and probably worth more than the standard wheels.

And more importantly, I haven't been 'screwed' by the dealer, as it was me who wanted them replaced with the stock wheels because I don't like the look of the Thunders. So if anything, the dealer has been more than helpful in agreeing with my request. Whether the Thunders are more expensive than the Denvers is irrelevant, its what I wanted as customer, and the dealer has accommodated.

Exactly, I asked what they were worth. You didn't know, as you hadn't seen them before, but you then went ahead and surmised that they were more expensive and that I was being screwed. Not exactly helpful.

You should have asked the dealer to fit detroits instead of denvers. They are a much nicer looking wheel.

They are $259 each in the US market so you can assume the dealers will sell them here for about double that.
They are also $360 each on Amazon.
They come as a dealer fit option for the VW Passat.
I did know how much they were worth.

@Brendan_A - I agree, the Detroits are a nicer looking wheel, but they would only agree on a set of Denvers. To be honest, I was just glad to get rid of the Thunders.
