Replacement 18" Detroit Wheel

Hi All,

Currently in search of a replacement 18" Detroit Wheel for my MY11 GTI.

Just after the one alloy, but not too sure of where to go, or what price I should expect to pay.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I know ECS Tuning in the States sell them but you'll pay a S### load for it! I'd also ring the VW spare parts department too.

VW will sell you one for $750 - $850 depending on who you talk to and how nice you are to them. I scratched the shiz out of my front left rim and made a claim on my tye and rim insurance... got the full $750 back!! I also now have a nice shiny rim in my bedroom waiting for me to further stuff up the front left one.

I've sent a message to the bloke on VWGolf, so thanks for the lead scoobyrex.

Also tried a few local dealers this morning (Perth), but had no luck, as it appears no one in spare parts works on a Saturday...

A little shocked at the cost for one alloy, but we'll see how things go.

Have decided to have a look in to repairs before going down the path of buying a new wheel, so have started a new thread titled "18" Alloy Repairs - Recommendations and Previous Experience".

If you guys have a look at the thread it should give you an idea of what I'm looking at as far as damage goes.
