  • Swapping bbs rs centers

I am currently rebuilding a set of bbs rs's 17x8.5 et 33 and 17x9.5 et45. Wondering if i can swap the centers around to give me a little more room to play on the fronts? I will have to run adapters which i can only get as small as 15mm which will leave my fronts at et18. I probably could run that, but will have a fair amount of poke(i think)which im not really going for. I want flush front, poke rear. I will probably be running at around 23".

If it was possible how would i figure out what it would do to my offsets? Confusing the heck out of me!! Any help would be awesome!.

I would have thought that the centers (spyders?) were identical and that the widths and offsets were determined by the widths of the split rim sections.

well i don't know about most wheels, but my set the centers on the front are definitely a lot deeper than the rears.

Not all centres are the same.
For example, you can have a 9" with 1.5" lip and et35, then the next pair could be 9" with 1.5" lip and et45 (just less meat on the back of the centre)
You'd need to measure from where the lip/barrel/centre are all bolted together on each pair to where the mounting point on the centre is. Might be a PITA if the wheels are still bolted together...

Well just did some measuring and if I hav done it correctly I think itdefinitely will give the fronts more clearance. But the rears will b like -9. Dang
