maxxis ma-v1 reviews?

Anyone got any reviews or feedback on the maxxis ma-v1?

I wanted to get my Kumho KU31s in 225 45 17 but nobody other than Tempe stocked them and i needed them fitted quickly for work, so went for a pair of these maxxis at $165 fitted each.

Have read posts these muppets are owned and sold by a religious cult (d'oh!!) but other than that they seem ok? Normally i research heaps before buying anything but in this case i needed it quickly.

I have run them, and they are good for the first 10k km, but after that, they tend to go pretty hard, and loose a fair bit of grip... They are good in the short term, and they last a fair while too (I got over 40k km out of them with some pretty hard driving), but you will notice ther grip fall away pretty quickly...
