  • Confused which to buy for my Mk6 GTi...Bilstein Pss10, KW V3, Weitec HICON TX

    Simple query...

Bilstein Pss10, KW V3, Weitec HICON TX "plus"

Which one is better suited to everyday driving and track?? or am I just clutching at straws thinking there is a difference apart from the Weitec being the only zinc plated not stainless steel, not to mention the cheapest out of the lot..

    Hi PapaGTI
What is your goal on the car - road goer with a monthly track day? Or are you setting up for more track than for road?

    Very very brief:
KW V3 is a twin tube and has separated and adjustable height, rebound and compression - it is also stainless
Weitec Hicon TX is a twin tube has adjustable height and rebound - it uses "yellow" galvanising
Bilstein Pss10 is a monotube and has adjustable height and a combined rebound/compression adjustment, not separated - it is galvanised

    Cheers

If you're on a budget, also consider ST Coilovers, which are basically the poor cousin of the KW coilover range and built in North America/Canada. Weitic and ST Coilovers are likely to be basically the same thing apart from country of origin. HPA Motorsport sell the ST coilovers for something like $900, which is a bargain.

You get what you pay for.. Basically, the more you spend the more you get.

A Golf Comfortline isn't as impressive as the Golf GTI, is it? Same deal with suspension.

The V3s would be ultimate for an every day car and some track work. Not only will they perform the best, but being able to adjust your bump and rebound separately means you can get the absolute best out of your car.
