Anyone heard of 'Raceland' Coilovers before?

They seem very cheap for coilovers.

And now my other questions:
Now I'm not going to be able to get coilovers on mine. Being a musician burdens your choice of car (especially drummers) and i don't think coilovers will be friendly enough to valve guitar amps, don't want those glass tubes breaking every time the road has a bump.

So, Does anyone know any good springs?

It needs lowering, but, i prefer GO BEFORE SHOW (lol, I'm in a diesel ).
Probably will get an anti roll bar at the rear to help it handle better too.

I was heading for eibach springs, Pro street for $330 delivered, but i'm still researching.
Raceland have springs for $89.

I'm really curious to why so cheap.

Second question:
(I think i may know the answer to this, but best be sure) Is it important to get springs for the 1.9 TDI?
They're just isn't the same variety for me, or they say it's for my engine but in a cabrio :/

Raceland are under hottuning. They are VERY VERY firm, ride like it's on bumpstops andjust plain nasty. I had a set on my MK2 and got rid of them as soon as. Made my kidneys hurt!

Well let's face it, i don't have a quick car.
But i would prefer it to handle better first.
Stance will come later when i have more money to be impractical

My Hottunings were sold as Hottunings, but the coilovers had Raceland stamped on them. They ride fine at a moderate height, but get crashy the lower you go. I've trimmed the crap out of my bumpstops so there's a bit more travel, so I can go a bit more lower without losing some bit of comfort.

If you're looking for a kit that lowers the car, but still provides a very comfortable ride, you can't go past Koni Red shocks with Koni lowering springs. They were my first set of suspension and they felt awesome, preferred to cruise around at night than sleep on my own bed. They lower 40mm, which may be enough for some but wasn't for me, so I swapped them out for the Hottunings. I miss the ride, but I don't miss the wheel gap.

Yeah, I'll live with the wheel gap if it means saving my amp from unwanted damage. That and my driveway isn't friendly to low cars, not to mention RWD cars.
Though i really want to kill that body roll, it rocks like a boat, and the acceleration squat.
Did the Koni do them well?

40mm is probably alot, though on mine:

If your shocks are in good nick, you can get a god set of 60/40 springs for not too much, in the mean while you can save up for some good quality coilovers (NOT hottunings) and have the benefit of an grouse ride and more than enough lows. (Providing you want the adjustability of height. Otherwise, get some 60/40 springs and some koni shocks)

The Konis eliminated the body roll and made handling a lot better. Made the ride heaps comfier too.

Running raceland coilovers on my b5 passat best investment I ever made.. For the price you pay can't fault them, except maybe a touch bumpy for some people.

i am running them on my a3, can gets super lows and ride is fairly good considering.

Yeah, I put in new OEM shocks probably 2 years ago (On my L's so it wasn't used much) and i think could get away with 30mm low springs,
but many of the manufactuers say anything beyond 30mm drop needs aftermarket shocks, maybe it's just a market stradegy, i don't know...

I guess i'd have to ride in a car with coils to get a real understanding.
I mean, Taking a guitar to uni daily would be fine on coils. but for the one or two times a month that i take my amp around, i don't think i could get away with something harder in the hope of better handling.

Did you feel a great difference (Roll, turning in, squats, ride etc) going from a good Spring/shock to coilovers rayray, or anyone?
