    in SA not had a golf long and am looking at some bbs wheels anyone had dealings with this place?
    wheelwarehouse.com.au

    know they are not bbs rims by any stretch of the imagination but have a mk5 gti and untill i can get some bbs splits shipped over from home or carried across when i go backthey seem like an idea to get my air ride fitted when it turns up with the old folks later this month

    wheel protection trim.... anyone in this forum has used this before?
    there might have the colours to match the wheels too....
    been researching ways to protect kerb / gutter rush.....
    mods are endless once started

      From personal experience, not only do they look pretty ugly on most cars, they actually make the tyre change process more difficult.

      I'd say the best way to protect against gutter rash is just to drive better/carefully. I think I've scrapped one gutter in my Golf in the last 6 months and it was caught on the tyre.

        Hopefully someone will chime in that will directly help the OP. I haven't dealt with wheelwarehouse before but they get these wheels cast in certain sizes with a blank PCD. I don't know anyone personally that have bought a set and fitted them on, but I think there has been one or two from the forums that have. Hopefully someone who has these wheels will give us an opinion.

        If I were you, I'd stick with the stockies until those yummy BBSs come in
