  • VW and Audi offset?? same??

Does anyone know or point me in the direction of info on the wheel specs for audi and vw new beetle.
I am thinking of putting 19x8 audi A8 wheels on a new beetle and wondering if they will fit.
i cant find the offset info to know if they fit before buying and dont wanna just trust the guy selling the wheels... he says they fit no probs..

    Hey

Im not sure what the pcd on the bugs are, i assume they're like 5 x 100? in the case of audi its a bit difficult as some models are 5 x 100 while others are 5 x 112. I think thats the case with the A8 - 5 x 112. this is the same as mercedez fitment. if urs is 5 x 112 then i reckon it should fit if not then i'd be doubtful. like i saidits a bit difficult to tell with audi's as the fitments differ between the range. I had some off a A6 i think it was n that was 5 x 112 so guessing that it would be the same for and A8. Anyone else who knows more accurately feel free.

I've been told countless times that VW wheels and Audi wheels have very similar offsets.

But, I could be hearing wrong...

ok.. know its been a while but forgot about this thread...
original audi A8 wheels are 5x112. dont care about offset as the stud pattern is not the same. so couldn't get them.
our 2003 beetle wheel specs (original) are 5x100 with 38 offset.
ended up with a replica set of 18x7.5's with 35 offset (from memory).
these only just fit on the car so not really sure how the 19's would fit.. though since starting our hunt have seen some with 19's but in different wheels.
clearance is really an issue on the inside of the wheels when you start to go too wide, which i would've assumed the 8inch would do.

i have been told by VW that the newer bugs have a different offset again.

so to sum up... we finally have 18x7.5 audi A8 replicas on our new beetle and love them.
