if you use Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels to buy the wheels, I think youre looking at around US$250 for freight

I've had other gear shipped via a freight forwarder U.S.A. Address Mail/Parcel Forwarding and theyve indicated around USD500 for shipping of wheels, depending on weight, size etc

email then directly and ask the question

I was recently quoted approx $300 USD just for tyres to Perth by Tirerack, so I reckon $250 USD for wheels might be a little on the cheapish side.

Tire rack gave me a quote of 286 usd for four 18" tyres which was good I thought. and with the cost of the tyres, it keeps me under the 1000 mark that flags the duty man.

The last thing that I brought over was the front brakes, at around 2000 it cost me an additional 385 but it seems to vary slightly.

the limit is $1000 for the goods.

If you exceed that, then they apply duty and GST to the cost of goods, plus the freights

            heres an example:

there are plenty of stores in the UK that do wheels and probably a bigger range that are VW-centric.

some will ship directly, but if not, get a freight forwarding quote from ukbrandsworldwide.com - UK Specialists in Personal Shopping and Package Forwarding

I shipped out a set of wheels from Oregon to the ACT earlier this year via FedEx International Economy (4 days door to door). Wheels were 19x8.5 and 19x11 so required 4 reasonably large boxes - total shipping cost was $490 USD plus about $300 AUD of duty / GST as the wheels had a declared / insured value of $2000 USD.
