you need a pcd of 5X100 mate
you see them up for sale every now and then
cheap to buy, expensive to modify
iv got a set on mine but have been widened to 8inch and offset a fair bit
thats the way you want to go if you want them to look good

Excuse my ignorance, but isn't 5x100 only for VR6 with the remainder being 4x100 in CL/GL?

I don't know if they're common but Renault scenic rims will fit but centre bore is 60mm iirc.

They'll fit easy mate, even if you're on coilovers. Tyres are the correct size for the GL too. Good value with that much tread on the tyres.

Corolla, Astra, Honda steelies, they'll all work. Only bit of muckin' around that you might have to do is boring out the centrebore. I think the Jap ones would be smaller than 57.1mm. Won't cost much at all.

Gemini steelies, how big were they? Most Gemini wheels I've read about have poor brake clearance on Mk1 Golfs.

All standard Gemini steelies were 13", I've seen a Gemini running with 15" Holden (Opal in Europe) 15" steelies but I have no idea of how they fit.

wheels fit, only issue was the hub needs slight boring as was too small
