i doubt they will fit straight out the box.
If the MKVI is anything like a base Octavia (6.5" / ET52) then 9.5" / ET52 (I assume 52 offset is the same as ET52) is 38mm closer to the strut. There's about 20mm to play with on a 6.5" rim IIRC, so you probably need around ET32. ET32 will give you an extra 38mm of outward poke - your wheel bearings will love you for that. /rolls eyes.
i hope I'm wrong because they will look great if they fit.
There's about a knuckle width of space - call it 20mm. He'll have to run spacers - and then they'll poke like a mofo & scrape the guards unless the car is jacked up like a tractor.
I had 17x8 ET35 on the Octy. Poke was as much as I was comfortable with and they could have gone another 15-20mm inwards, so a 9" rim at most on the front. The 9.5" may fit on the back.
