  • Which wheels for my Mk5 GT TDi?

Its come to the time where I need to replace my tyres so rather than just buy new tyres I think its time I upgrade the wheels from the stock 17" Classix's to something 18". I've got a few options that I like but am interested in everyone's opinion.

      Denso's.

They match the black and red theme of the car and won't show the brake dust.

They all look nice... any reason not 19s though?
Densos will stand out in all crowds though

EDIT: think theres something up with the #4 in your poll. guessing its meant to be the densos?

The ride is already quite hard since I've lowered the car so I don't want a harder rider. I've been told by most people that got 19's on their golf that the ride is considerably harder on 19's over 18's.
Yes the 4th one in the poll is meant to say Denso's, dont know how to change it now.

dude, black wheels show the brake dust way more than silver. they look filthy after about 2 days. they go brown veeery quickly.

if you're going for OEM look, either detroits or the zolders (which you called ronal). i wouldnt touch densos and yes black wheels get dirty real bad (speaking from experience LOL) but look tough when clean!

Well it looks like I'm going to have to go for the Detroits anyway. Seems my insurance policy doesn't allow any wheel over 7.5" width. Since for budget reasons I'm restricted to getting the OEM replica's only the Detroits come in 7.5". All the others are 8.0" wide. I would have to change Insurance companies if I wanted anything over 7.5" inches and I'm not prepared to do that as my current policy is fantastic and is about $150 cheaper than any other insurance company.

H&R springs - supposed to be rated at 50mm all round but after installation I only got about 35mm up front and about 15mm in the rear.
