  • Brake clearance issues.

i was at my local Tyre Factory today haveing a tryal fitment of a wheel i quite liked. to cut a long story short, the wheel i liked (17x7 5 spoke Bi wheel) wouldn't clear my calipers. i wasn't aware that this was an issue on VR6 golfs, as they are a single piston caliper, despite the 288mm rotors. Did i choose a roage wheel, or do i need extra clearance (brembo clearance) rims?

      offset is the problem
what was it ?> et 35 is best on your golf for 17x7. i tried et 40 but that didn't fit. smaller = face is closer to inside of wheel. but go too small and you have wheel arch probs.
