Audi R8 Spyder Replica Wheels

Folks,

I have a new GTI arriving end of July, with 18" detroits and ACC. I hate the Detroits, and was taken by a pair of R8 Spyder Wheels at St George Tyres. Unfortunately, they only come as a 19" wheel.

My 2 concerns are:-

Potential for Harsh Ride ( even with Comfort setting on the ACC)
Legality and Insurance as I believe 19 inch isn't on tyre placard.

Folks, any opinions on the above ? Sorry If I have posted this thread in the wrong section.

Legally, 19" wheels will be fine so long as the offset doesn't poke the tyre outside the body moulding and the rolling diameter doesn't increase by more than the legal limit.

I wouldn't bnother qwith teh R8 repls as i think they look tacky.
You would be better off getting some gallardo wheels or some Rotiform BLQ's imho.
