Detroit v Denvers

Have seen the GTI Mk VI wheels called both these names can anyone tell me what the difference is

17 inch Denvers versus 18 inch for the Detroits.

The Detroits also have a polished face with black inserts where the Denvers is only the normal alloy finish.
