  • center bore and hub size conversion

this question has prob been asked before but what's the process of changing the hub bore size of a bss wheel from a subaru 16"x6.5" Offset +55 to fit a vr6 wheels pattern? is i worth the time money and effort or do you end up spending that money it get it working its not worth it in the end?

centre bore is too small, so it needs to be widened. and you'll need a spacer to lower the offset. about a 20mm spacer should be able to do it. dont know why you'd change to suby wheels if you're already running 16x9's!

if the bore is too big, you'd just run hubcentric rings, so that the wheels fit.

if the bore is too small, you'd just get the bore machined out which wouldn't be too expensive.

seeing as the offset is 55 anyway, you'll probably need like 20mm spacers at least bro!!!!

Id ran adapters dude, fixes the spacing and the centre bore. Adaptec do custom ones and are about the same price as off the shelf ones and you can have them to almost any spec.

Getting the centre bore machined out ($15 a wheel) and some off the shelf 20mm spacers (~$50 each) would be alot cheaper than a custom set of Adpatec spacers.
